Anonymous Mafia

Premise:

No Night phase.

Day Phase happens per normal with lynches, Day phase also time when Actions occur like Kills, Roleblocks, Protects, etc. All resolves at end of day after lynch.

No Outside communication

Anonymous- Everyone under new names
- Make a new forum and just get everyone to sign up under a new name. Yes.

No Outside communication- EXCEPTIONS (Mafia, Split personality)

27 Players, 26 positions available at sign ups.

Each letter is a different player. A-Z.

I will also be in this game under Ω as well as moderation. (I'm the 27th player.)

Due to certain roles, there will only ever be 26 profiles in use, giving the impression that there are as many players as profiles and that everything is normal. Teehee.

Unless otherwise specified, you can only use one ability a day.

Item's can be used as much as specified.

Item's are indicated in role pm's as being between two sets of ==XXXXX==

-----

Quick pre-emptive explanations:

There are 27 players. But only 26 profiles.

There is one profile used by three different people with different win conditions. E=F=G share a profile.

There are two profiles controlled by one person. D2 controls 2 profiles.

There is one profile controlled by me, who isn't shown at signups. Ω

This results in 26 profiles. The same number there'd be if every player got a profile and I wasn't in the game. Which is what I wish for them to think.

There are also three players who will rotate profiles after each day. A-B-C.

-----

This next little bit is just me checking some things, you don't need to try to understand it but basically signups would start like Callisto's, letters corresponding to various roles.

Win conditions:

ROLES

Notes:

Role PM's are to be sent to the Wotmud actual accounts.

Players A, B and C receive two role pm's each. Each time A, B and C switch, their new account is sent to the Wotmud actual accounts after permissions have changed.

Player E, F and G receive a role pm. The split personality pm is sent to the shared account.

Player D receives a role pm for each of the accounts they use.

Player Ω no role pm, it exists purely in notes for reference.

Hello Player A/B

Maybe trying to earn a quick buck with that medical trial wasn't a good idea, as it seems to have severed the connection between mind and body, and it takes all your willpower to prevent your mind wandering. Literally.

Unfortunately, you cannot prevent this when you fall sleep at night, and if past experience is anything to go by, you may not wake up in the same surroundings that you fell asleep in. Or in the same body.

Usually this rectifies itself after a while, but it can be very disconcerting. And you suspect that you're not the only one suffering from this, there must have been others at the trial.

So the question is...

If you're in control of someone else's body, who's in control of yours?

Also, if your body was to be irreperably damaged, then when your mind returns you will be killed. If the body you currently possess is irreperably damaged and it is not your own, you will wander until you return to your eventually return to your own body. During this time you will be unable to post. You may pm the mod 3 messages a phase which he will post in its entirety in the thread. You may also vote by pming the mod, the vote tally will increased by one for your chosen victim, but your name will not be added to the current bandwagon.

Of course, what's to stop you simply revealing all this in the game thread? Well...

You're terrified of the scientists who performed the clinical trial. According to the papers, the process you went through is paramount to a medical breakthrough and the scientists are pushing to get this to the general public, with full backing from the government and international governing body. However something happened to the facility and it's all been hushed up, the 'medical breakthrough' fading from the public interest due to lack of results and soon forgotten. You recently received a courteous anonymous letter asking you politely to keep your silence. Unless you want be silenced.

You cannot post or mail anything about the trial or your abilities. You cannot discuss your body-snatching experiences with the bodies of the people you temporarily inhabit. Seriously, not a word about any of it. If you break any of these restrictions you'll be tortured graphically. (You'll be modkilled and lose the game.)

You win with the town when all opponents have been killed or removed from play.

NOTE: As you will not be able to access your last account after the astral projection, your new account details will be sent to your actual Wotmud account you signed up with.

Mail me if you need clarification. Which is likely.

Hello Player C

You arrived in this town by accident after you missed 41st century Italy by a few centuries. Okay, by about 20, but who's counting?

Still, seemed like a nice place to pick up some souvenirs, until you uncovered a sinister organisation testing alien technology on unsuspecting humans under the guise of performing a 'medical trial'. You managed to stop them performing any more tests, dismantle the operation and destroy the alien tech before everything spiralled out of control. Unfortunately, before you destroyed it, the alien tech played havok with your psychic abilities.

You've noticed an alarming tendency to suddenly find yourself in other people's bodies although you normally return to your own after a while. It's a common symptom of a psychic migraine, and it'll fade in a few weeks.

What worries you more is that if you're in control of someone else's body, who's in control of yours?

Also, if your actual body was to be irreperably damaged, then when your mind returns you will retreat to your Tardis and leave this time permanantly (Basically, you're dead for the purposes of the game). If the body you currently possess is irreperably damaged and it is not your own, you will wander free until you return to your eventually return to your own body.

Well...

It's probably best that the humans don't find out your accidental body-snatching or your alien origins, they're paranoid enough as it is with the recent death.

You cannot post or mail anything about the body snatching or alien origins. You cannot discuss your body-snatching experiences with the bodies of the people you temporarily inhabit. Seriously, not a word about any of it. If you break any of these you'll be modkilled and lose the game.

If confronted, you better think up a plausible role and abilities fast. Good thing the Doctor's known for his quick thinking and ability to talk his was out of trouble.

---

Hello Player A

You are the Town Crier

You take the job very seriously. You've got the hat, you've got the bell and you aren't going to let anything get in the way of you and your one man mission to inform the general public. It's been the role of your family for generations, your father did it, and his father before him. And you'll be damned if a few killings will get in your way.

You must start every post with HEAR YE, HEAR YE in huge font size, bolded. The rest of your post must be in large font size and bolded. Any votes must be in huge font size and bolded. Your first post each day should be, to the best of your ability, a summary of the events of the previous day and night.

You Win with the town.

---

Hello Player B

You are a gambler

You've put a big stake in at the local Ladbrokes. It's such a whopper that you even had to borrow money from certain unsavoury individuals to fund it. Mail me the name of six individuals as soon as possible. If five or more of these individuals are dead before the game ends then you collect your winnings, pay off the individuals with interest and retire to your own tropical island, winning the game. Deaths caused by the game ending prematurely (due to one side being guarenteed a win) do not count towards fufilling your win condition. If you get four or less correct, these individuals will be forced to collect their debts another way. Did you know how much a fresh, healthy liver can make on the black market?

You will not lose if you die and can still win whilst deceased or otherwise removed from the game.

==Purple paint==

Once per game, you may use the can of purple paint you have in your possession.

==Purple paint==

Modnote: Makes all mod posts and messages until the start of the next day dark purple.

---

Hello Player C

You are the eleventh Doctor.

You are a centuries-old alien, a Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey, who travels in time and space in your TARDIS. You've arrived in an isolated town and realised that there's more going in behind the scenes than meets the eye. Time to get stuck in.

Once per game you may leave the game by mailing me which time you wish to leave from and which time you wish to arrive at. You cannot arrive at a phase which has alread happened. You must also post in the thread that you'll be back in 'five minutes'. You will be removed from the game during this time and be untargetable.

Once per game you can change the length of the current deadline by posting in the thread the desired deadline length and 'It's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey... stuff." If you change the deadline to a time which has already passed, actions sent in (or which may have already been sent in) after this new deadline will not take effect. This can lead to actions which have already taken effect being reversed. The deadline cannot be moved back past the start of the phase.

You win with the Town.

==Sonic Screwdriver==

Once per phase you can target a person with the sonic screwdriver, rendering any items they may have unuseable until the next phase.

==Sonic Screwdriver==

Mod note: Rather than being killed, Doctor will make a daring escape attempt at the last minute to the Tardis and leave sharpish. Is then removed from the game and counts as dead for all purposes.

The sonic screwdriver prevents the Doctor being kidnapped/hogtied. He'll be captured, but will escape at the start of the next phase (so basically straight away). If he was hogtied, he'll be in the bunker, but can leave at any time.

Hello Player D

How's life as a mad scientist?

Your attempts to create an android capable of imitating life has finally come to fruition. Being the egotistical maniac you are, you choose to use an artificial skin based on your own body. Your craftmanship is so brilliant that not even you can tell the difference, except that the android doesn't burst into fits of mocking laughter. Still, that can be programmed. And maybe a facelift wouldn't hurt. Or maybe a whole new flavour.

You are one part of a two man serial killer team, consisting of yourself and the account XXXXX. Which will also be controlled by yourself.

Each phase you can pick whether you or your double perform the kill. The account which doesn't perform the kill can use their alternative action that phase.

Your alternative action is using your patented freeze ray to cryogenically freeze a victim of your choice, taking them back to the lab and storing them in a secret underground facility. The facility can store up to two individuals at a time. You can release anyone captive at any time, or you can kill them. Killing them will use up your kill action for that phase and prevent you using your kidnap ability until the next phase. Your double can still you its alternative action.

If your android is killed, you become a normal serial killer restricted to this account.
If this account is killed, you become a normal serial killer restricted to your android's account.

You win when everyone else but you and/or your android is dead, or nothing can prevent the same.

Mail me if you need clarification.

---

Hello Player D

This is the second account you can use throughout the game. You can post freely with both accounts, mail freely with both accounts, basically giving the impression each account is controlled by a seperate player.

The alternative action for this account is the ability to charm a person, convincing them to vote for a certain person the next phase and pursue and defend this vote to the best of their ability. The effect will last until the end of that phase, at which point the person will be free to reveal that they were tricked. Of course, to prevent the identity of the charmer being found out, you have three hastily made alternate skins which can be used on the android instead of the original body double. Each skin will be worn out and rendered unuseable once used except the original, which means the charm ability can be used three times.

---

Hello Player E

As the Town Mayor, your controversial use of the charity donations for the Old people's home (It was just resting in my account!) has left your position unstable. These murders couldn't have come at a worse time for your campaign. And possibly life. Still, you've survived this long by knowing how to read a crowd and turning it to the advantage, and the mounting opposition has only led to more underhanded and cheap but effective tactics to maintain your position. Of course this gives the opposition more dirt on you, which makes you stoop to even lower tactics. It's a vicious cycle.

Each day, you gain the same number of votes as the number of people who voted to lynch you the previous day. However, it also takes that same number less votes to lynch you.

Example: Day 1 2 people vote for you. 26 people live and it takes >50% to lynch.

Day 2

You have 1 (+2) = 3 votes

You require 15 (-2) = 13 votes to lynch.

Extra votes do not carry over previous days, so if on Day 2 only one person votes for you, Day 3 looks like this:

Day 3

You have 1 (+1) = 2 votes

You require 15 (-1) = 14 votes to lynch.

To place multiple votes on the same person, use the syntax to vote multiple times.

Lynch Jeff
Lynch Jeff
Lynch Jeff

You win with the town.

Mail me if you need clarification.

---

Hello Players

You unfortunately suffer from multiple personalities.

The most recent person to post in thread is the dominant personality.

Changing the password of this account will result in a modkill and possibly a ban from any games I may host in the future.

Enjoy!

==Adrenaline Shot==

Once per phase, you may target someone with the adrenaline shot. This will allow them to use one more action than normal during the next phase.

There are enough for five doses.

==Adrenaline Shot==

---

Hello Player F

You are the town bus driver. You will be using Account XXXXX.

You represent the manifestation of XXXXX's love of buses.

Once per phase you may target two players (A and B). Any actions targetting A will hit B, and vice versa.

You win with the town, when all threats to the town have been removed.

---

Hello Player G

You are a serial killer. You will be using Account XXXXX.

You represent the manifestation of XXXXX's hatred, anger and jealousy.

Once per phase you may target a player to kill by mailing the moderator.

You win when everyone else is dead.

---

Hello Player H

You a Vanilla Townie with a phobia of gorgonzola. You will be using Account XXXXX.

You represent the mainfestation of XXXXX's fear of cheese.

At the first mention of gorgonzola, you begin to get panic attacks. Fearing for your life, you will attempt to evade the cheese by hiding behind a person of your choice. Any action which would happen to you fails. Any action which would happen to them happens to both of you. This is a mandatory action, you must hide behind someone. (Hider)

Whilst a hider, you must make a reference every two posts about something watching you from the shadows.

On the second mention of gorgonzola, sheer terror gets in. Trapped in the lockdown of the town you feel the walls closing in. You confine yourself to your bedroom and set up a variety of traps, mostly involving mice. This makes you immune to night actions, but you can only set this up every other night. (Commuter)

Whilst a commuter, you must make a reference every two posts about something watching you from the shadows, and every other post must contain a reference to a strange odour in the vicinity.

On the third mention of gorgonzola, you realize the only escape from an endless horror of cheese is the sweet release of death. You're beliefs prevent death by your own hand, and being stabbed or shot seems awfully messy. Better a nice, quick noose at the hands of the town. Work with me here. (Jester)

Whilst a Jester, anything you say must be in capital letters. Punctuation is otherwise normal. References to cheese are a must.

As a Vanilla Townie, you win with the town.

As a Hider, you win with the town.

As a Commuter, you win with the town.

As a Jester, you win when you managed to get yourself lynched.

---

Hello Player I

You are an incredibly clumsy detective. You will be using Account XXXXX.

You're one of the best in the business, capable of digging up dirt on even the most spick and span individuals. You're also the clumsiest, and your fees barely cover the legal costs and medical fees you recently incurred whilst snooping through a suspects abode. Honestly, it was blown all out of proportion. You only put your foot through one original van Gogh.

Still, bring a torch next time.

Each phase you can snoop through a suspects address whilst they're not around, in an attempt to find any evidence of misdemeanours.

You win with the town.

Modnote:

Each use of this ability will produce correct results, but will have a negative result on the user.

The first use will results in a broken rib, making talking painful. Every five words (minimum) must contain a groan, grunt, wince or other suitable reaction. Using *groan/grunt/etc* is acceptable.

The second use will result in concussion, leaving you dazed and disorientated. Every piece of punctuation must be replaced with the word uh. The previous restriction still applies.

The third use will result in a broken jaw, making talking almost impossible. Vowels can no longer be used by the poster. The previous restrictions still applies.

After the third use, the detective loses the ability to snoop after he throws in the towel, and is reduced to the much less dangerous choice of stalking a person and seeing who they visit that night, but not who visits them or what they do.

These apply to all forms of communication involving this Mafia game, except between the player and the mod.

You win with the town.

---

Hello Player J

You are a Mafia Host

Each phase, one member of the mafia can perform the Mafia kill. The person who sends in the target can consider themselves the volunteer for the factional kill, unless it is specified afterwards. If you perform the Mafia kill you cannot use any other abilities or items that phase.

You are an entity of unknown origin who has come across this situation and chosen to get involved. You possess no corperal form of your own but instead possess the bodies of others in order to survive. You share the selfish, power-hungry attitude of the Mafia and have no problem working with them to take down the town. Strife and chaos are your bread and butter.

If the body you inhabit is killed, you will survive in an albeit weakened state and seek another body to dominate. If you are killed again, you will be greatly weakened and unable to possess another individual until you have regained your strength in your home dimension. For the purpose of this game you will be considered dead, with no possibility of revival.

You win with the Mafia.

And one last thing. Your comrades might freak out a little if they discovered you were a being from another dimension possessing the body of a human, so it's probably best you don't mention it. Unless you enjoy having the Mafia kill repeatedly redirected by the mod onto you.

==Stasis array==

You can remove a player for the game for two game phases, after which they will return.
This item can only be used once per game.

==Stasis array==

Modnote: Shares account with Omega if lynched. If Omega is already dead, randomely choose an account (Alpha exempt) with number generator.

---

Hello Player K

You are a Mafia Mentor

Each phase, one member of the mafia can perform the Mafia kill. The person who sends in the target can consider themselves the volunteer for the factional kill, unless it is specified afterwards. If you perform the Mafia kill you cannot use any other abilities or items that phase.

You hate to get your hands dirty, so why not have someone else do it for you? An isolation chamber, an area set out for waterboarding, you've got the works. Now you just need a victim to brainwash.

You can recruit one person to do your bidding per game. This person will possess all their previous abilities (if applicable), or can be used to perform the Mafia Kill. It will take an entire phase for the conversion to be complete, during this time you may not use any other abilities.

You win with the Mafia.

==Portable Waterboarding Kit==

Three times in the game, you may use your portable waterboarding kit to roleblock a person for the entirety of the current phase.

==Portable Waterboarding Kit==

---

Hello Player L

You are a conspiracy theorist

You spend all your waking moments hunting for links between apparently mutually exclusive events.

Each phase you can spy on a player. You will either conclude that this player and the last player you targetted are working towards the same goal and the last you spied on, or if their actions are conflicting.

You win with the town.

==Journal==

You are a Journal Keeper.
Each phase you can write something in your journal, up to 60 words. When you die, your notes will be posted in your death scene. You have the ooption of incuding a single vote in your journal. This will only count for the phase following your death.

==Journal==

---

Hello Player M

You are a Rebellious Seraph.

You are a lesser aspect of Caraghan.

You're disgusted with the abuse of power the modgods are showing, pitting innocent people against each other, reducing them to murderers or worse just for their amusement. You've rebelled and sided with the town in an attempt to maintain peace and prevent unnecessary loss of life. When the modgods learnt of your plans, they attempted to drain your powers but you were prepared for such an occasion. You fled before they could capture you and came down to earth to continue the resistance.

Each night you can make an addition to the rules. Do not attempt to make any game-breaking rules or rules which make the game unplayable.

You are aware that the moderator is a player in the game and you win the game if you can get him lynched. His current form is XXXXX.

It's probably best that the town (being a superstition bunch) don't learn that you're trying to kill the physical manifestation of the god that they worship (even if they're being misled). You'll be modkilled if you reveal XXXXX's true identity, that you are trying to lynch XXXXX to anyone in order to fufill your win condition or that you have a different win condition. Keep it under your hat.

---

Hello Player N

You are a Mafia psychic

Each night, one member of the mafia can perform the Mafia night kill. The person who sends in the target can consider themselves the volunteer for the factional kill, unless it is specified afterwards. If you perform the Mafia kill you cannot use any other abilities or items that phase.

They laughed at you! They said it was all smoke and mirrors. But as you idly probed through the thoughts of customers as you worked at your supermarket checkout, you found yourself face to face with a mafia goon. Some quick words later and you found yourself fast-tracked through the ranks and assigned to this town. Each phase you can choose one person to target. You will receive a word for word copy of their action resolve pm from the moderator.

You've been using some mental exercises and with great effort you've found yourself able to manipulate the thoughts of others. Once per game, you may Pm the moderator with a target player and up to 200 words you want the moderator to force the chosen player to post.

==Necronomicon==

Possessing this item will save you from the first attempt on your life, except for lynching.

==Necronomicon==

You win with the Mafia.

---

Hello Player O

You are a multi-millionare

Affluent and proud of it, you love to show off your wealth to others. Each phase you may invite two people to stay the day in your chain of five star hotels. They will arrive and stay for the entirety of the next phase. The state of the art security should prevent anyone from interfering with their stay. Before the game starts, if you wish, you may choose two people to stay in your hotel for Day One and mail me their names. Then each phase from then on you can mail me another two to be protected for the subsequent phase.

However, with only each other for company, if the two people you invite do not get along (read as differing win conditions) then they will likely grow bored and leave early, both losing their protection. You will not be informed when this happens. Because you'll be busy being rich elsewhere.

And even if they get along and choose to stay, there may still ways for certain individuals to break through your security, either with stealth or sheer brute force...

You win with the town.

==Briefcase of money==

Once per game, you may use this to bribe the officers keeping the lockdown in effect, allowing you a night outside the compound, safe from individuals inside.

==Briefcase of money==

---

Hello Player P

You are a Mafia Powerhouse

Each phase, one member of the mafia can perform the Mafia kill. The person who sends in the target can consider themselves the volunteer for the factional kill, unless it is specified afterwards. If you perform the Mafia kill, you can use no other abilities or items that phase.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. They call for you. You're the last resort of the Mafia, someone not afraid to walk into a crowded street and start gunning down everyone between you and your target.

Once per phase, you can type in red font Kill: XXXXX in the main game thread. This can be done twice in the entire game. Unless somehow prevented, the target will be killed instantaneously. (Note as mods are not always awake/around, this may result in the player in question posting before we can kill them off if they would be killed. If this happens, their posts will be deleted ASAP if they occured after their death.)

==ODIN==

Times have moved on and so has the Mafia. Rolling people up in a carpet and tossing them off a bridge just doesn't cut it any more. To that end, you've hacked into the Pentagon and gained control of the Orbital Defence Initiative which was controversially put into orbit by NASA last year.

ODIN is activated by posting in the thread in huge electric blue italic font OBLITERATE XXXXXX.

This has one use.

==ODIN==

You win with the Mafia.

Modnote:

75% majority needed to lynch, once people vote for this person, they cannot remove the vote.

---

Hello Player Q

You are the Pied Piper of Hamelin

Yet another town has refused to pay you for your services of pest extermination. Bizarrely, the town seems to only consist of 25 other people and no children, so it looks like your old tactics won't be working. Adults are less receptive to your charm, but you've a few special tunes up your sleeves though for the less open-minded.

Once per phase you may target two people by mailing me their names. They will begin dancing along to a tune only they can hear.

You win the game when every player alive other than yourself is dancing.

==Magical Flute==

You can call a battalion of dancing rats to come to your aid. This will interfere with people who attempt to lynch you.

For every 5 players left alive, you require an extra vote to lynch.

==Magical Flute==

---

Hello Player R

You are an old-fashioned investigator.

All these new fangled forensic investigators and fancy modern technology is a waste of money. You'll always stick by the good old 'dunk em in a deep body of water' method. If it worked on witches, it'll work on Mafia, am I right?

Each phase you may kidnap a player, tie them up and abandon them in the town resevoir. If they drown they must have been innocent and they'll be at peace. If they escape they must be evil, right?

Right?

You win with the town.

Modnote: If they live, they are indeed anti-town.

---

Hello Player S

You are a Druid.

You've rejected the teachings of the Moderator at a young age, disillusioned after seeing the corruption sprad throughout the land. You became in tune with nature instead, bringing the idea of reincarnation and appreciation of life to those who would listen. Also human sacrifice.

Once in the game, you may sacrifice a living player and transfer any actions they had to another living player other than yourself.

Once in the game, you may sacrifice a living player and bring back a player killed after the start of the previous phase.

Once in the game, you may sacrifice a living player in order to transfer any actions from a dead player of your choice to another living player other than yourself.

The only slight catch is that in the current climate, people are little unwilling to be sacrificed. A player must PM the mod about their willingness to be part of the ritual before the ritual can occur. How you convince players to do this is your choice.

Note: You do not have to reveal the truth about how the ritual functions to your target. All you need to do is somehow convince them to send in the PM through any means necessary.

You win with the town.

---

Hello Player T

You are an ex-Cern scientist.

Maybe combining alcohol with partical accelerators on the eve of the switching on of the Large Hadron Collider wasn't the best of ideas. That one magnet you spilt beer on meant the whole project was delayed for months, and you swiftly found yourself unemployed.

But you've decided to show them what they're missing and have created a super collider underneath this very town. It might be held together by duct tape, but by god it's working. Lately, you've been getting some alarming readings and now most nights you'll be working down at the collider in an attempt to stabalise the damn thing. God only knows what will happen if you're not around to keep it in check.

During the day, you make a living selling various useful contraptions and devices. Once per phase you can create and give such a device to another player. The effect of these devices is up to you, they can directly affect the target player or allow the player to use a one-shot ability, etc. Be sensible with these devices, if you attempt to make game-breaking or obviously overpowered devices the ability to invent will be removed from you. The abilities may be altered by myself or another mod at our discretion if we feel they aren't a bad idea, but are a little extreme.

You win with the town.

Modnote:

If the ex-CERN scientist is killed, the super collider goes out of control and tears a hole in the fabric of reality. An eldritch abomination enters this reality, consumes the last person to vote him/the person who killed him and leaves for its reality, the hole vanishing from existence along with the super collider.

Basically he's a bomb. Except with more awesome flavour.

Hello Player U

You see dead people.

When you were young, you suffered a near-death experience. Ever since then, you've never felt the same, as if not all of you returned from the brink of death. This is supported by the frequent interactions with people who have recently died and are unable to move on, normally the ones who have suffered violent deaths stick around the longest until appeased. This has resulted in you being a sort of psychiatrist for the recently deceased. Still, this ability could come in pretty handy with the sudden spate of murders. You've just got to convince everyone your not crazy.

You can converse with those that have been deceased using the deceased forum. All people you can communicate with in this way will be listed under Deceased. You cannot communicate with anyone who's been removed from the game in another fashion, who will be listed under various other headers.

You win with the town.

---

Hello Player V

You are a rebellious weakened Ophan.

You are a lesser aspect of Keya.

You're disgusted with the abuse of power the modgods are showing, pitting innocent people against each other, reducing them to murderers or worse just for their amusement. You've rebelled and sided with the town in an attempt to maintain peace and prevent unnecessary loss of life. You staged an uprising against the Aspects for control, but were defeated and gravely wounded. You fled and have hidden here, in the guise of a mortal. Each moment is a struggle to control your power in your weakened state.

Each phase, as you meditate, the power will manifest itself in various ways. You have at least a limited control over the result. Each night you can use one of the following abilities: Trial, Voice, Banish, Aurora, Choice, Whisper, Life, Death, Rule, Judge, Love, Time.

You win with the town.

Modnote:

Trial- Instead of dying, the alignment of the next person being lynched will be posted by the moderator and the vote count reset.
Voice - All posts must exceed 100 words in length.
Banish - Rather than be killed, being lynched will remove you from the game. (Cannot talk in the dead forum.)
Aurora - Any actions will have an effect opposite to their normal one (Like switching Kill/Protect).
Choice - Players are prevented from changing or removing their initial vote.
Whisper - Yay! OOC communication!
Life - If the next person lynched is town, rather than die the vote count will be reset.
Death - If the next person lynched iAnti-Town, rather than die the day ends immediately.
Rule - Everyone votes for someone the want to be in charge for the phase. That person then gets to decide the lynch themselves.
Judge - At the end of the day, the number of town, anti-town (Mafia/SK's) and unknown (Everyone else) will be posted in the thread.
Love - Every player becomes a lover with another player. If one dies, so does the other. They may use OOC communication with their lover during this time.
Time - Back to the good old fashioned 24 hour deadline!

Modnote: All of these last for the entirety of the next phase from when the action is mailed in.

Hello Player W

You are the son of the moderator.

Sometimes the gods walk among mortals. Sometimes they get drunk. You're the result. The moderator does not know of your existence and you prefer it this way. Blessed with great power, you see the world through very human eyes. Your repulsed by the treatment of mortals by the gods. The gods have invested much power in the Mafia, bringing together a collection of evil, twisted beings for their amusement. Unfortunately, you possess a temper the gods would be proud of. Best keep that under control.

If the Mafia can be defeated then the modgods will be at their most vunerable and there's a chance, however slim, that they can be taken down.

Once during the game, you can focus to warp the fabric of reality itself, randomising the target of every night action used that night.

Once during the game, you can banish a player from existence.

If you would be killed, a global roleblock will occur as you release your wrath upon the town during the next phase. You will then decide that this town is not worth saving and seek another place from which to stage your upsurp. After this you will be considered removed from the game.

Hello Player X

You are the chief priest of the moderator

You've loyally served your entire life, bringing the word of the moderator to the nation. You recently heard of an isolated village which was losing its faith after a series of murders. Just as you were about to send out some initiates to bring the faith when you realised that this was no ordinary village, but your birth place. You've decided to return and spread the good word yourself.

To assist you, once per phase, you can post a question in green font which can be answered with either 'Yes' or 'No' by the moderator.

Once per game, you can leave your mortal shell and ascend, becoming an aspect of the moderator. This is a permanent change and you will join the modding team. This only becomes an option if you are able to survive to the final 8. This is entirely optional.

You win either with the town, or if you manage to ascend and join the moderator.

==Incense==

During the game you may light a stick of incense. You can do this up to three times.

==Incense==

Modnote: Incense resets the current vote count.

Hello Player Y

You are the proud owner of a nuclear bunker

Your wife said it was a stupid idea, but look who's laughing now! Might as well let some of the neighbours in rather than leave them outside with all the killings going on.

But what if one of them is the killer?

People can also voluntarily enter your bunker at any time by mailing me that they wish to enter the bunker. People can leave by mailing me that they wish to leave the bunker. You can choose when to open/close the bunker to allow/disallow access or exit. Anyone in the bunker cannot target anyone outside the bunker and vice versa. This will not be common knowledge, you can choose to reveal how to enter the bunker and the pro's and con's at your discretion.

Each phase, you can hogtie a person of your choice and toss them in the bunker.

People who have been hogtied can only leave if you mail me to say you allow them to leave at their discretion. There is no limit to the amount of times you can open or close the bunker in a day. (But don't go too stupid with it, or we'll go crazy keeping track Razz). This can be done even if you hogtie someone the same day.

The current status and number of occupants in the bunker will be displayed in the announcement in the bunker forum.

The bunker can at most hold five people including yourself. You do not start in the bunker.

You win with the town.

==Old census papers==

You can use this to identify people who haven't lived in this town for very long. Once per day you may go digging in the records to see whether a person was present at the time of this census, several years ago, by pming me.

==Old census papers==

Modnote:
People who weren't present at the time of the census: C, K, M, P, Q, T, V, W, Z

People who are in the bunker can talk as normal in the main thread, even if hogtied. They will also have access to a seperate forum, labelled the bunker. If they leave they will be removed.

Hello Player Z

You are a grizzled old war veteran

Once per day you may make a post he consists only of a quote of the target player and 'You don't know man, you weren't there.' THe mod will step in and confirm that the target does indeed not know, nor were they there. They lose there vote and the grizzled old war veteran gains it for that day only.

Once per day you may set up a simple trap outside the house of a person of your choice (including yourself). The next person to target your target (bleh) will be trapped for the entirety of the next phase. Pm the moderator with your chosen target.

Every post you make must have a quote from a war film. Use wikiquote if you run out of ideas.

Modnote: The next person to target his target will succeed in their action, but for the entirety of the next phase will not be able to perform an action. (They spring the trap on their way out basically.)

Hello Ω

You are the Moderator.

You have ravaged the mind of this mortal, and now use the empty shell as your vassal, allowing you to directly interact with the town.

This account is directly under the control of Delion, chief aspect of the Moderator.

The other aspects will be informed of the existence of this account, but not of the passphrase.

"I am the Alpha and the Omega"- The player of your choice will ascend and win the game. This will not end the game. The target will join the Aspects.

"The first and the last"- The player of your choice will be removed from the game permanently, losing the game, and all record of them will be stricken from the record.

You are immune to all abilities except for lynching.

The concerning outside communication and the amount of times an item can be used in a day do not apply to you.

You do not factor into calculating whether win conditions are fufilled or not, with the exception of the Rebellious Archangel.

Modnote:

If the Mafia Host is killed he will be given the passphrase to this account as his new vassal.

The Mafia Host will not have any access to the abilities of Ω.

The Mafia Host will share this account with Ω.

Whilst inhabited by the Mafia Host, the account factors into win conditions.

Caraghan has created α.

---

Hello α.

You are the Moderator.

You have convinced the mind of this sweet mortal to love you, accept you, and eventually your presence has nearly overcome hers completely, and you have total control of this vessel. This saddens you, but you know it is necessary.

This account is directly under the control of Caraghan, lesser aspect of the Moderator.

The other aspect will be informed of the existence of this account, but not of the passphrase.

“Holy Blessing”- The player of your choice will be immune to all forms of death for one entire phase. As a moderator, you have infinite power and so should be able to use this ability as many times as possible. However, as you represent all that is just and fair, you have limited yourself to Bless players only 3 times during the course of a game.

“Let Justice be Done”- As the sponsor of the Town, you oppose Delion and his minions, the Mafia. Thus, three times during the game (in the interest of fairness), you can proclaim a person’s true allegiance when they are about to be lynched. This will be affirmed by the mod.

You are immune to all abilities except for lynching.

The concerning outside communication and the amount of times an item can be used in a day do not apply to you.

You do not factor into calculating whether win conditions are fufilled or not, with the exception of the Rebellious Archangel. (I’m not really sure what that is Razz)

Modnote:

If the Mafia Host is killed he will NOT be given the passphrase to this account as his new vassal. As the mortal who previously inhabited this body gave this vessel lovingly to Caraghan, she will not allow another to posses her.

I'm considering whether the Rebellious Archangel's aim is to lynch us both or just me. I think lynching us both would be a more interesting goal.

How should we appear on death?

I'm thinking something like:

XXXXXX, Ω the Aspect of Ruin has lynched on Day X.

XXXXXX, α the Aspect of Knowledge has been lynched on Day X.

I really think we should keep interference to a minimum. No messing around with actions, simply interacting. No subtle hints about who to investigate/kill/etc Razz

Just so we can play around during time not spent organising NA's! Very Happy

Yeah, I agree on the little interference. That's too much like cheating...

Basically we're there to be red herrings, and for our amusement! (I'm going to love writing the role PM's if someone tries to kill me Very Happy).

I also think the Alpha and Omega characters have super cool significance. The beginning and the end. Muahahaha. Alpha representing the start of life, and Omega the end.

Making the Bunker forum now.

Just a reminder for myself that many of these roles need to be edited to bring them into line with the lack of night phase present in this game.

What to do if I am dead before Mafia Host? Possibly just pick a random person for him to inhabit. Do they share profile or does he completely take it over? Does he gain their abilities?

References to Night actions should all be changed to be in line with single phase.

Changed Host so if Omega's dead, he steals a random persons body.

Should he get their abilities after taking over? Just their items? Neither?

Food for thought!

If Q wins the game by getting all remaining people dancing, should that end the game? Hrm.
